Fort Lauderdale, FL—May 27, 2009—The Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA), the pioneer of business appraisal education, professional certification, and resources, today announced that Bill (William) Quackenbush, managing director of the Advent Valuation Advisors, based in New York and Washington DC, has been elected as a member of IBA’s Education Board. The IBA Education Board provides input and assistance to Headquarters on IBA’s current and future educational offerings directed to: business valuation, litigation support, fair value reporting, forensic accounting, exit planning, business and intellectual property damages, fraud investigation and deterrence, and mergers and acquisitions workshops.
The Education Board is responsible for reviewing and evaluating course content to ensure that it meets requirements for continuing education and that it is consistent with appropriate bodies of knowledge. The Education Board will periodically monitor live classes to assess effectiveness and customer satisfaction. IBA is very pleased that Bill (William) Quackenbush has offered his strong commitment to help ensure that IBA continues to effectively improve course materials and new course development by serving on this very important Board.
Mr. Quackenbush holds a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) credential from the Institute of Business Appraisers and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in the American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Quackenbush brings nearly 20 years of valuation experience to Institute’s leadership position. He has testified in state and Federal courts. He serves on the Website and Business Valuation Committee (BVC) of ASA and is the Editor of ASA’s weekly Business Valuation E-Letter.
The Institute of Business Appraisers was the first organization to adopt business appraisal standards and ethics.
