Liaison between field offices and corporate accounting for the Eastern Division. Assists in the preparation of consolidated budgets and month end close. Researches and builds financial and business related analyses to assess the impact of various projects and financial transactions. Identifies and communicates opportunities for operational process improvement whenever possible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Supports Eastern Division Finance team in creation of ad hoc reports/analysis and in development of processes to support business needs.
Facilitates month end close. Collects Journal Entries from field offices. Reviews backup against entries to ensure they are complete and accurate before submitting to Corporate Accounting. Creates journal entries as needed.
Reviews actual expenses versus budget performance and/or forecast. Analyzes and identifies trends in spending and revenue.
Collects data from the field offices for monthly processes and/or for ad hoc projects. Consolidates, summarizes and formats data for presentation to Division managers. Analyzes results as appropriate.
Facilitates operating budget development. Develops and updates Budget reports utilizing the budget tool. Builds ad hoc reports as required by team.
Analyzes Accounts Receivable. Collects and consolidates explanations from field offices. Identifies trends or areas of concern.
Communicate effectively with employees from all levels of the organization.
Other duties may be assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in accounting, finance or economics.
• Minimum of two to four years of related experience and/or training.
• Keen organizational and analytical skills.
• Stellar presentation ability.
Intermediate MS Excel knowledge.
