<p>Fort Lauderdale, FL—May 27, 2009—The Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA), the pioneer of business appraisal education, professional certification, and resources, today announced that Tracey Jeffers, President of Valupath Advisors,Inc, based in Arkansas, has been elected as a member of IBA’s Ethics and Standards Board, which is charged with monitoring IBA’s membership with regards to ethical and professional standards. </p>
<p>The Ethics and Standards Board is responsible for formulating proposals to the Governors for changes to and interpretation of IBA’s business appraisal code of ethics and standards. The Board is responsible for drafting technical opinions on issues involving ethics and standards rules, and promoting member awareness and compliance with IBA’s business appraisal code of ethics and standards. In addition, the Board will monitor changes in the national and international valuation standards and government statutory and regulatory actions. IBA is very pleased that Tracey Jeffers has offered her strong commitment to help ensure that IBA continues to effectively communicate its standards and investigate possible violations by serving on this very important Board. </p>
<p>As a newly elected Ethics and Standards Board member, Tracey Jeffers holds an MBA and is a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) accredited by the Institute of Business Appraisers. She has preformed valuations in multi-states ranging from small to multi-million dollar operating companies. Mrs. Jeffers brings to the Board her years of experience as a member of IBA&#8217;s Qualification Review Committee, in addiiton to her outstanding reputation of excellence as an honoree of the  Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 business award. </p>
<p>IBA’s elections were held in May of 2009. The Ethics and Standards Board nominations are open to the entire membership. Each elected member serves voluntarily and each commits to uphold the Board’s charter, participate in Board meetings, and attend IBA’s Annual Conference.</p>

<p>Mr. Rudich is a CPA who holds a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) credential and Business Valuator Accredited in Litigation (BVAL) accreditation by the Institute of Business Appraisers, two additional business valuation certifications, and a financial  forensic designation.  Mr. Rudich brings his extensive experience in valuations of closely held and publicly traded companies, machinery and equipment appraisals, business loss computations, and depositions and court testimony to the association’s leadership position. </p>

Richard Thorsen brings over 50 years of accounting experience and 10 years of business valuation experience to the association&#8217;s leadership position. With his numerous board and committee experiences he brings a wealth of knowledge to the Ethics and Standards Board. </p>

Mr. Gaskins brings his experience as a Chairman of the Board of a community bank for 22 years and Chairman of the Board for a for-profit hospital for 18 years to the association’s leadership position. </p>

<p>Fort Lauderdale, FL—May 27, 2009—The Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA), the pioneer of business appraisal education, professional certification, and resources, today announced that Bill Herber, Senior Vice President and Director of the Business Valuation Group of Shenehon Company, based in Minnesota, has been elected as a member of IBA’s Ethics and Standards Board, which is charged with monitoring IBA’s membership with regards to ethical and professional standards.</p>
<p>The Ethics and Standards Board is responsible for formulating proposals to the Governors for changes to and interpretation of IBA’s business appraisal code of ethics and standards. The Board is responsible for drafting technical opinions on issues involving ethics and standards rules and promoting member awareness and compliance with IBA’s business appraisal code of ethics and standards. In addition, the Board will monitor changes in the national and international valuation standards and government statutory and regulatory actions. IBA is very pleased that Bill Herber has offered his strong commitment to help ensure that IBA continues to effectively communicate its standards and investigate possible violations by serving on this very important Board. </p>
<p>Bill Herber is a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) accredited by the Institute of Business Appraisers. Mr. Herber brings over 23 years of valuation experience in estate and gift, mergers and acquisitions, and marriage dissolutions to the association’s leadership position. </p>
<p>IBA’s elections were held in May of 2009. The Ethics and Standards Board nominations are open to the entire membership. Each elected member serves voluntarily and each commits to uphold the Board’s charter, participate in Board meetings, and attend IBA’s Annual Conference. </p>
<p>The Institute of Business Appraisers was the first organization to adopt business appraisal standards and ethics. Established in 1978, the Institute was the original pioneer in business appraisal education and professional accreditation. IBA offers the following designations: Certified Business Appraiser (CBA), accredited in Business Appraisal Review (ABAR), as well as Business Valuator Accredited in Litigation (BVAL) and Master Certified Business Appraiser (MCBA). <strong> </strong></p>
